It all starts with a breath.　
～Ryukyu KObudo～

Kagemasa Yoshimoto Sensei of Yoshimoto Dojo, teaches you mainly Ryukyu Kobudo and Okinawa Kobayashi School Karate.
He was trained by Hirata Shinken who’s from the Maja area in Kumejima.
He makes sure you focus on how to breathe for each one of Kata which is karate form.
This experience with the amazing view would make you feel the wind blowing through your mind.

Experience living like islanders during your "Home Visit"

The population of Kume Island is about 7000.
As many isladers, as many attractions.

Home Visit is a program that allows you to experience the life of islanders.
You can go shopping together, cook and eat.
Fathermore, harvesting vegetables, go fishing.

Very cozy and relaxing time would make you feel like visiting your relative's homes.

Ms. Yae who runs a small guest house, was born and raised on the island. A small guest house, but the warmest and the most lovely space you can spend your time with.

Guest house Itokazu
Mr. Yoshibo who runs his guest house, is also born and raised on this island. He has taken over his family business which this guest house with five rooms. He is very good at playing an Okinawa instrument “Sanshin”, and the guitar. Guests enjoy him play cultural music here sometimes.

About “Eat the same thing together”

As they say “Live under the same roof” in English, we say “Eat from the same pot” in Japanese. Kume island is one of the rare islands of Okinawa with abundant spring water. Also known as Grumet island. Not to mention its taste, please feel the connection with people through having original Kume Island cuisine together.

Guesthouse『想生 -sou-』

Nice to meet you and welcome back.

Sou is located a little away from the center of Kume Island. The guest house is an Okinawan old style tiled roof house. You can stay in the tatami mat room with the warm atmosphere. Limited to a pair a day, so please make yourself at home.

Enjoy each home cooking.

The owner Taihei Otake put his thoughts into his home cooking. Connecting between local producers and visitors is one of his concept of this guest house.
